Love Your Relationship. Protect Your Future.
JESSICA WU, CHIEF PRENUP LAWYER
Hi! I’m Jessica and I’m a thirty-something living in downtown Toronto, an award winning lawyer of over 10 years, and a former law school professor.
I am that friend of a friend who is often asked about the legalities of love. I have received many a late night panic text asking whether a partner who has just moved in should become a tenant, what the difference is really between common law and marriage, and what will happen to my investments once I’m married?
Prenup Club is fuelled by my belief that obtaining legal services doesn’t have to be intimidating and it is driven by my mission to support you wholeheartedly. My promise to you is this - you’ll be listened to like a friend, taken care of like family, and your wishes fulfilled by a true expert in the field.
Our Philosophy
A well-drafted prenup creates clarity around finances, expectations, and responsibilities, allowing your relationship to move forward with openness and ease. The process should feel calm, considered, and collaborative - never transactional. Think of it as clear communication, in writing - not a lack of trust.
What Working Together Looks Like
Intro Call
We chat about your relationship and goals and answer any questions that you may have. It’s a chat with a friend over coffee, no obligation or commitment until you’re ready.
Clear Advice
We explain your options without the legalese and help you decide what makes the most sense for you, your relationship, and your goals. We guide you every step of the way.
Preparations
Your prenup is drafted by an experienced lawyer and we go through as many revisions as needed until it perfectly reflects your wishes and vision.
Peace of Mind
You walk away feeling informed, confident, and supported (and with your lawyer on speed dial). To us, you’re not a transaction and you will be supported well beyond the completion of your prenup.
Who Is a Prenup For, Really?
You can likely benefit from a prenup if you:
Own a business or side hustle;
Have savings, investments or property;
Value financial independence and thoughtful planning;
Have experienced a family or friend’s separation;
Want to keep finances fair and transparent; or
Believe love + boundaries = healthy relationship.
